It's So Hard To Say Goodbye

These are the lyrics to a song I wrote to Sherrie about a month after her death.  I was sitting at her piano and looking at her picture.  I started crying and playing some chords and the first verse flowed out of me.  The final two verses came to me about a week later.  I am discovering that writing music is therapeutic in helping me process my grief.  This picture is from our last trip to Mt. Vernon in May of 2017.
